​A little about US

Hi. I'm Barbara Straub, founder of Shepherd Her Ministries. I am passionate about spending time with God, exploring His Word and sharing His truths with you. My story is filled with challenges that seem to just keep coming. I understand what it is to face the giants, what feels like the unspeakable that can leave you feeling isolated, fearful and hopeless.

Shepherd Her Ministries was founded on the precept that God intended for us to do life together, learning the truths in His word, building our faith, confessing our shortcomings, encouraging each other, comforting each other, loving each other and faithfully using our story to share the gospel with others.  Unfortunately, we often find judgement in lieu of compassion and acceptance. We hold this space free of judgement and deception as we pursue God’s truth, serenity and renewal, working out our salvation together.

God meets us exactly where we are. This means that no matter what you going through, you are never alone. Not only is God with you, there is also a whole sisterhood with you who know and understand the giants you face. Shepherd Her is here for you. Israel

We stand with Israel. We support Israel. It is God’s promised land for his chosen people. Many Christians believe that the New Testament replaces the Old, but that simply is not true. For us to truly understand the Bible, we must understand the entire bible and God’s purpose and promises for Israel and the Jewish people. God is not done with them or the Holy Land. Understanding the Old Testament, the history and customs of the ancient Jewish people and fundamentally knowing that Jesus was a practicing Jew will change your understanding of the New Testament and ultimately change your walk forever.
